Ruined.

I just recorded over half an hour of steamy ghey lovin’ twixt an American fox and a semi-Aussie wolf and fucking Garageband crashes on me and it’s all gone, irretrievable.

I still love Mac, but grrr!

  • Macs are ok, but... excuse me, Garageband sucks. Look for a smaller, freeware wave recording program that is mature enough for such tasks. I'm sure you'll find something.

  • It's a hard lesson I have indeed now learned. My situation was that I needed a program which could do two things: record, and at the press of a button, pause, then at the press of preferably the same button continue while somehow marking the cut; secondly conveniently delete a selected portion of the wave without creating a gap. I've found that SoundForge on the PC platform does this adequately.

Oh, and Happy New Year :)

  • I would feel sorry for you but... it's a Mac HAHAHAHAHAHAHA ^^

  • You sooooo forgot to mention my laptop. -,-

  • Nono, that's phase II. On account of GarageBand's unreliability, I'm switching to your lappytopp. Disadvantage is that I'll need to hang on to it until I'm completely finished, but that shouldn't take more than a month or two.

    *Nelson impression* Ha Ha!

Man, do I know the pain... I hope you'll have the ispiration and will to rewrite all of that soon. It sounds quite delightful. B3

Happy New Year to you, my friend! B3

  • The good news is that the story was already written -- I was simply recording a performance of a portion of Kyell Gold's novel 'Volle', and the shame is that I rather think I gave a very good performance first time around. Ah well, we shall persevere!

  • I most certainly understand your pain. Microsoft Word has swallowed more then a few stories, which never recovered fromt he loss. I hope your story at least gets revived.

Your icon describes your pain all to well.

  • I've discovered the glee of LJ iconning :)
