FurRag — beta.

Hey Osfer, have you been a big dirty slacker lately? I haven’t seen you post anything–no stories, no LJ posts… have you turned lazy and unambitious?”

Haha, no. Aside from the fact that I’m courting two prospective employers in the real world and that I’ve been offered a job as editor of a fairly well-known furry publication, aside from the fact that I’ve started the first of a series of five NaNoWriMo writing workshops I’m giving, aside from the fact that I’m participating in this madness with the full intention of getting the result published–I’ve been working on a project.

Yes, yes, I know, “you and your fucking projects”, but listen, this is a doozy. A sweet and talented coder friend sacrificed way too much of his free time to make some of my more frivolous dreams come true, while the fabulously talented Kamui contributed reams of artwork and the result is this:

FurRag, the definitive furry fiction archive (beta).

Even at 15% of its planned functionality it’s already on a par with the functions of just about every other fiction archive out there and there’s tons more to come. Despite the fact that it isn’t finished it’s now been opened to help furry participants in the National Novel Writing Month through the nifty integrated per-chapter and full-story word count and forum integration functions.

Zawesomes, now?

  • What's the fairly well-known furry publication, hm? People wanna know!

  • When the talks are through, I'll drop a line, don't worry. You know how I am with self-promotion... :)

  • Someone sacrificed a whole lot of their free time just to make your own frivolous dreams come true?

Man, what a sap. He usually suck your dick for free, too? ;)

  • What is not, may yet come. Dude, thank you for your hard work.

And thanks for helping with the site, too :)

  • *hugs*

  • I rather like Nick, myself. Handsome, dignified dog. That's what it's all about!

Also, Kamui, that little comic is adorable. :)

  • He's a sharp canine, no?

  • stormcatcher_

Slacker? *You*? Gent--you've been busy enough in the last few months to make hooker at a Shriner's convention look idle. And unlike many folks that talk about projects, you actually make yours happen.

And damned if we aren't lucky that you do!

Love the site, am *in* love with Nick and Jack, in the non-carnal kind of way. A huge thank you and congrats to you, Kamui, for making them look so delightfully appealing.

  • I think your carnal vigor will be inspired by one of the mysterious silhouettd figures, when his department of functionality becomes available... I'm glad you like the site; hard work will continue to be done to improve and improve...

  • I'm guessing second from the right, since the one on the far right appears to have boobs.

  • Hey, our toother's been known to fancy the girlfolk at times... :)

  • Hehe, he IS kinda chiseled, hmm?

  • Professional Penman. No, that's not pretentious at all! I swear, if I didn't believe completely in the talents you have, I'd have you torn down in an effort to pare your ego to something easier to swallow.

Congrats though on acheiving so much recently. And if you've been ignoring my angst journal, keep an eye out on it, because I plan to put a little paper up I wrote for a class. Short, sweet, and just sophomoric enough in its content to be amusing, I'd really love to get just a critique of what you felt (in other words, just say whether you like it or not).

  • Oh, hardly ignoring. You have to admit, though, in the forms you've selected for your prose you leave little room for comment or even full comprehension. I look forward to your piece -- I've been consistently impressed with your narrative style. I'd like to see how you perform academically!

  • Hehe, "us and our fucking projects" is right. I think we've done fairly well under the circumstances, though. Looks good -- should be fun to see the numbers tick up as folks start trickling in (gushing? flooding? a veritable deluge!). Uuuu~, if only there weren't so much work still left to do! Got to keep it together ^_^

  • Kamui, all your pictures are absolutely gorgeous. You should be proud to be the foster father of furry creativity in this site. :)

  • Gawrsh!

  • Kamui! It took some reading of your LJ to puzzle out who you were. Nine members in three hours, and that in the wee small hours... seems to be going quite well :)

  • tee hee ^_^ I do try to maintain that certain air of mystery about me (har har).

  • For the record, reading public, the comic above is by this mysterious interlocutor :)

  • haha, I don't know how I feel about that being the representative sample....

  • Hey, mister, *you* drew it! Make your bed and sleep in it :)

I think it's great work, especially considering the veeeery limited time you had to do it in!

  • Oh man, so true... I do wish I could have spent a bit more time on them, but I guess in the long-term, these are coming and going from the site, and it made sense to spend more time on the more permanent fixtures. Or maybe I'm just rationalizing? Hehe, it is what it is ^_^
